Action alert: Submit comments to the City of Saint Paul on the Hillcrest master plan. You can send an email to the City to provide feedback no later than 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 7th. You can send email comments to City Planner Bill Dermody directly. If you’re available, you can also attend the virtual public hearing during the Saint Paul Planning Commission’s meeting on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 8:30 a.m. to share your comments live.

Saint Paul Bicycle Plan update
Public feedback came from 22 events and presentations, emails, and resulted in over 1,700 online survey responses. City staff have reviewed this feedback and produced a document summarizing the information.
Staff will incorporate this feedback into the updated Bicycle Plan and share the draft during the second round of engagement throughout Spring 2022. Staff hope to bring the updated plan to the City Council for adoption in Summer 2022.

Public hearing on the Hillcrest redevelopment
The Saint Paul Planning Commission’s upcoming public hearing on the Hillcrest site will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 8:30 a.m. The hearing will be on the Hillcrest Master Plan, the Hillcrest Rezoning Study, the Hillcrest Zoning Code Study, and an associated amendment to the Saint Paul Comprehensive Plan.

MnDOT’s Rethinking I-94 project started in 2016 and concerns a stretch of Interstate 94 between Saint Paul and Minneapolis. According to MnDOT, the project “intends to reconnect neighborhoods, revitalize communities and ensure residents have a meaningful voice in transportation decisions that affect their lives.”
